Thanks to my sister/author Kristin (and Lulu.com online publishing) there is now a real published book about some of my jewelry. How amazing is that?
A collaboration with my youngest sister has resulted in Polymer, Peyote & Prose - a small, colorful collection of photos, poetry and stories about some of my art. Kristin is a published author who writes about artists for magazines like Kansas! as well as Christian vacation Bible school curriculum for Concordia Publishing House. (to be updated)
My mother was thrilled and wants copies for her friends. But I'm hoping that it will be a cool addition to my "sales table" or be helpful when applying to galleries. It is a very cool feeling to see your art in print, in color. A preview of Polymer, Peyote & Prose by Kristin Kaldahl is available online at http://www.lulu.com/content/1364127 where it can be ordered by anyone. View all the books in my Lulu storefront at http://www.lulu.com/bylynette.
I want to publicly thank Kristin for her time and creative efforts. And if you have any urgings to get your own work published, I highly recommend checking out http://www.lulu.com/. On-demand self-publishing is simply the coolest use of technology around.
